Visceral Manipulation
Visceral Manipulation
It is important to understand that an organ is actually a sac of specialized cells. When some of those cells become dysfunctional from overuse, or poisoning, the remaining cells compensate by picking up the slack. Over time more cells progressively burn out. Once a tipping point is reached the organ is then deemed to be in pathology. This is how a dysfunctional organ came seem good functioning or normal for long periods of time.
The basic cause of disease may be summed up by saying that osseous and soft tissue distortions are the fundamental cause of all disease. The precise position that organ manipulation and CMRT® holds in overcoming disease is its effect on soft tissue distortions. While these distortions are allowed to manifest themselves, nothing of permanent nature can be done toward the correction of osseous distortions. The primary cause of lower back pain in the female may be due to a distorted lumbar spine, yet if this patient suffers the distortion of an adhered and distorted uterus, nothing in the way of correction to the lower spine can possibly offer complete results. The irritating factor of the adhered and distorted uterus places such a strain upon the nerves, ligaments, and muscles of the spine as to cause those structures and tissues to suffer constant strain and hypertonicity.
Organ Manipulation
The purpose of organ manipulation is to return the viscera (organs) to normal position, remove pressure from impinged structures, free nerves and blood vessels, restore normal circulation, respiration, elimination, secretion, and excretion. Systematically the adhesions are manually released and the organs must be repositioned to ensure everything previously mentioned is restored to normal. It is extremely important that the practitioner is well versed in this technique and has a very good sense of touch. The practitioner must be knowledgeable of the anatomy of the organs, vessels, and nerves and must be able to feel the structures while knowing how to manipulate them effectively and safely.
Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique® (CMRT®)
CMRT® does for the viscera (organs) what spinal manipulation does for the vertebrae and nervous system of the body. The viscera of the body can and do become static and stagnant and when in such a state respond poorly to normal neural flow. When an organ goes through dysfunction it creates a series of reflex physiological changes include neurolymphatic congestion and superficial reflexes on the skin in specific areas. The treatment begins with decongesting the neurolymphatics related to the affected organ system, treating the organ to eliminate the reflex, and finally manually working on the target organ to help drain the lymph from the viscera walls and cavities to help the tissues regenerate and heal.

The purpose of organ manipulation is to return the viscera (organs) to normal position, remove pressure from impinged structures, free nerves and blood vessels, restore normal circulation, respiration, elimination, secretion, and excretion.
